Dr. James Agnew received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1986. He also completed a comprehensive implant residency program. Dr. Agnew is a native of Spartanburg County and returned to the area after completing his dental education. Dr Agnew has been practicing dentistry in Boiling Springs for over 38 years. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Spartanburg County Dental Society and South Carolina Dental Association.
Dr. Agnew and his wife, Crista, a Boiling Springs native, have raised three children, all graduates of Boiling Springs High School. Their son is a practicing engineer in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Their eldest daughter, is a music educator at an elementary school in Columbia, South Carolina. Their youngest daughter is currently pursuing her degree at the University of South Carolina's Pharmacy School. Dr. and Mrs. Agnew reside in Boiling Springs with their two cats.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Agnew serves as the training director for the Dental Residency Program at Spartanburg Medical Center. He is passionate about mentoring recent dental graduates and instructing them in advanced restorative techniques. Dr. Agnew's personal interests include fishing, gardening, following college sports, and travel.
